The sitter stage — typically between 7 and 9 months — is a wonderful time for a photoshoot. Babies can sit independently, are wonderfully expressive, and are not yet fully mobile, making it easier to create beautiful, composed portraits.

Toddler sessions from 1 to 3 years are full of energy and character. We work at your child's pace, encouraging natural play and interaction to capture authentic expressions. No posing — just your little one being themselves.

Many families book a sitter session and return at 1 year for a cake smash session, creating a beautiful set of milestone portraits across your child's first year.

We can also do sessions slightly outside this range depending on your baby's development — please reach out and we can advise.

How do you handle active toddlers during a shoot?

Toddlers are wonderfully unpredictable, and we love that. Our sessions are designed to be flexible and playful — we follow your child's lead rather than trying to pose them. We create moments that encourage natural expressions and movement, so the portraits feel authentic and full of personality.
