Maternity Photography FAQs

Appointments & Booking

Our studio is open from Monday to Saturday. We are closed on Sundays and public holidays.

We offer in-studio maternity photoshoots only.

Please note that we cannot confirm your photography session date until a non-refundable deposit of Rs. 10000+GST (Rs. 11800) is received. The remaining amount must be paid on or before the day of the photoshoot.

When is the best time to get a maternity photo session done?

We recommend getting your maternity photoshoot done after you’ve reached 32 weeks of pregnancy or anytime during your eighth month. The most favourable time for most women tends to be around 33-35 weeks, as your belly size and energy levels are optimal.

For those expecting twins, scheduling the session at around the 29 or 30-week mark is ideal.

How early should I reach out to book my maternity shoot?

You should reach out to us at least 4 to 8 weeks in advance to book your maternity session.

Can my husband or partner join me in the maternity photoshoot?

Absolutely! We naturally assume that your husband or partner will be part of the maternity shoot, and there is no additional fee for their inclusion.

However, if you prefer a solo maternity session, we can certainly do that as well.

Is it possible to include my other child or children in the maternity photoshoot?

Of course! We are more than happy to have your existing child or children join the session.

Please note that there is an additional charge of ₹4,995 per child per setup. This fee also includes an extra edited photo in your final deliverables.

As an expecting mother, can I include my parents, siblings or friends in my maternity photoshoot?

Ideally, we don’t recommend this. However, you may feel free to include anyone in your maternity shoot.

Please note that there is an additional charge of ₹4,995 per adult per setup (other than your husband or partner). This fee also includes an extra edited photo in your final deliverables.

What payment methods do you accept, such as bank transfers, UPI, cards, or cash?

We offer a variety of payment options to suit your needs.

For online transactions, we accept UPI and bank transfers, as well as Google Pay and Paytm. We can also send a payment link on request.

For in-studio payments, we welcome domestic debit/credit cards and cash.

Please note that we are unable to process international credit or debit cards at this time.

Is it possible to reschedule my maternity photoshoot?

Yes, we do permit rescheduling your session once, 7 days before your scheduled appointment. Last minute rescheduling is not allowed.

What is the procedure for cancelling my scheduled maternity photoshoot?

If you need to cancel your session, please provide at least 7 days notice, or 14 days notice if your booking falls on a Saturday. Upon cancellation, your deposit will be retained as a credit, which you can use within the next 6 months.

Kindly note that deposits are non-refundable.

What happens if I arrive late for my scheduled photoshoot?

We kindly ask that you be punctual for your appointment, as our studio operates on a tight schedule and our photographer has other commitments.

If you anticipate a delay of 10-15 minutes, please contact us to check our availability. Delays of more than 30 minutes without prior notice may result in the cancellation of your session and forfeiture of your deposit.

To ensure a smooth experience, we recommend planning your day in advance, accounting for:

Time needed for hair and makeup preparation.
Travel time to the studio, including potential traffic and delays.

Aiming to arrive 20 minutes prior to your session time can help accommodate any unforeseen delays.

Will I receive a GST invoice for my maternity photoshoot? Can I receive a GST Invoice in the name of my business for this photoshoot?

Absolutely! We will provide you with a GST invoice for the services you’ve utilised. Our services typically include an 18% GST, unless otherwise specified.

However, please be aware that we only issue invoices in the name of an individual for personal shoots like maternity sessions, as they are considered personal services rather than commercial ones.

Business GST invoices are reserved for commercial shoots only. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Are you available for outdoor, at-home, or out-of-town maternity photoshoots?

Certainly! We can provide custom packages for out-of-studio maternity shoots starting from Rs. 2 Lac + GST, for Delhi NCR and Rs. 2 Lac + GST, for Delhi NCR. Please don’t hesitate to call or WhatsApp us for further information or to discuss your specific requirements.

Hair & Makeup

Hair & Makeup is one of the important elements of a maternity photoshoot. We expect you to come ready to the studio with your Hair & Makeup. We always recommend that you work with your existing Makeup & Hair Artists to get expected results for the shoot day.

Hair & Makeup is NOT INCLUDED in our packages and is not offered as a service. We DO NOT ALLOW Hair & Makeup to be done at our studio as per our business & insurance policy.

Should I use makeup and hair artists to get ready or should I get ready myself?

This is a very personal choice. Once you book your shoot with us, please check with us and we can help you assess what works for you.

Are hair & makeup services available at your studio?

While we don’t offer in-house hair and makeup services, we highly recommend that you arrive at the studio with your hair and makeup professionally done, as it greatly enhances the quality of the photos. Please note that due to our business and insurance policy, hair and makeup preparations are not permitted within the studio premises.

Is it possible to have my hair and makeup artists come to the studio for preparations?

Regrettably, we cannot accommodate hair and makeup artists at our studio. We kindly ask that you arrive at the studio already prepared with your hair and makeup done. This is due to our business and insurance policy that restricts hair and makeup activities within the studio premises.

Can you suggest any specific hair and makeup artists for the shoot?

While we don’t have a specific recommendation, we encourage you to work with an artist you’ve worked with before or whose portfolio resonates with your personal style. This will help ensure a positive outcome and avoid any unexpected surprises on your special day. Rest assured, there is an abundance of talented hair and makeup artists and salons in the Gurgaon & Delhi NCR area to choose from.

Wardrobe & Outfits

The outfit for your maternity shoot is probably one of the most important parts of your look. You are welcome to choose outfits from our wardrobe selection for ₹1,995 per outfit. We have many outfits & wraps that you can choose from.

Are outfits or wraps available at your studio for maternity photoshoots, and can I preview them?

Definitely! You can hire outfits from our wardrobe for a fee of ₹1,995 for each outfit.

Our studio offers an extensive wardrobe featuring a splendid assortment of dresses, stunning gowns, sheer silks, draping materials, and a few accessories for your maternity session.

You can catch a glimpse of our collection in our maternity portfolio. We also aim to provide a slightly more detailed wardrobe catalogue during the onboarding process.

What types of jewellery and accessories should I bring for my maternity photoshoot?

The choice of jewellery and accessories largely depends on the outfits you plan to wear during the shoot.

For jewellery, we recommend keeping it simple and elegant, though statement pieces can also be used if they complement your overall look. Don’t hesitate to discuss the jewellery options you’d like to bring with us.

In terms of accessories, we offer a few floral tiaras and hats that can be utilized if they suit your personal style and desired appearance. You’re also welcome to bring any personal accessories you’d like to include. The goal is to enhance your look and add depth to your maternity photoshoot.

What kind of footwear is best for my maternity photoshoot?

Selecting the right footwear for your studio maternity shoot should be based on comfort, style, and how well it compliments your outfit.

Heels: If you’re comfortable in heels, opt for a pair with a manageable height. Be mindful that pregnancy can affect your balance, so choose a heel height you feel confident in. If heels are uncomfortable, feel free to forgo them. Since your foot size may change during pregnancy, do try on your heels beforehand to ensure a proper fit.

Flats: Fashionable flats, such as ballet flats or sandals, offer a comfortable and stylish alternative. They come in numerous designs and colours to coordinate with your outfit.

Barefoot: Going barefoot for your maternity shoot can create a relaxed, natural, and intimate atmosphere, especially in a studio setting. Just ensure your feet are clean and well-groomed for the best results.

Prior to your shoot, discuss your footwear preferences and outfit choices with us. The key is feeling comfortable and confident throughout your session.

What should my husband or partner wear during the maternity photoshoot?

The primary focus of the photoshoot is the expectant mother, so your partner’s outfit should complement your wardrobe choices. Their attire should be comfortable, well-fitting, and in line with the overall style of the shoot.

During the onboarding process, we will provide outfit suggestions for your partner, including recommendations based on their existing wardrobe. To ensure the spotlight remains on the baby bump, we advise avoiding large or busy prints, neon colours, and opting for solid or subtly patterned garments in neutral shades.

What outfit should my child wear for the maternity photoshoot?

The ideal outfit for your child may vary depending on their age and gender. Please get in touch with us during the onboarding process, and we’ll provide you with styling suggestions that coordinate with the overall style of your maternity shoot and with the child’s age.

I am planning to twin with my first daughter for my maternity shoot, do you have any options?

That’s a great idea. Although we can provide outfits for the mother, we don’t have outfit options for the children. You will have to either arrange an outfit for your child which matches one of the outfits that you like from our wardrobe or you will have to arrange both the outfits yourself – you and your daughter’s.

Deliverables

Step 1 – Photo Selection (Within 10 Days)

You will receive a link containing approximately 30+ unedited, low-resolution (largest side 1000px @ 100dpi) photos from each look/theme. These watermarked images are for browsing purposes only.

Step 2 – Sending Your Selection for Editing (ASAP)

Please send your selection of edited photos within 24 hours. If we do not receive your list within 30 days, we will no longer be able to provide the edited photos.

Step 3 – Final Photos (Within 4 Weeks)

Once we receive your selection, we will deliver the final edited photos in high resolution (largest side 3000px @ 300dpi) within 4 weeks. These images will include a small artist signature watermark. Watermark-free versions are available 12 weeks after delivery.

Step 4 – Unedited Photos (Within 30 Days)

For packages above the base level, a limited number of unedited high-resolution (largest side 3000px @ 300dpi, no watermark) photos are also provided. You will need to submit your list of unedited photo selections within 30 days using a form we provide. If we do not receive your list within 30 days, we will no longer be able to provide the unedited photos. Additional unedited photos can be purchased as part of our add-on options.

PS: Please note that raw photos or photo dumps are not available.

What is the quality or resolution of the delivered photos?

Final photos are delivered in high resolution, with the largest side measuring 3000px at 300dpi. This resolution ensures exceptional quality, allowing you to print your photos in large formats or use them for any purpose requiring high detail.

What does ‘largest side 3000px @ 300dpi’ mean?

This means that the longest dimension of your photo will measure 3000 pixels, while the image resolution is 300 dots per inch (dpi), a standard for high-quality printing. This combination provides clarity and sharpness in both digital and printed formats.

Are raw or unedited photos provided?

We do not provide raw photo dumps. However, certain packages include a limited number of unedited high-resolution JPEGs (largest side 3000px @ 300dpi, no watermark). Additional unedited photos can be purchased.

How do I select photos for editing?

We have made the selection process simple and convenient. You can share screenshots with file numbers directly via WhatsApp with your account manager, or create a favourites list within the online gallery. This process is separate from unedited photo selection to avoid any confusion.

How can I select unedited photos?

You will receive a form to submit your unedited photo selections. Please submit your list within 30 days, as we won’t be able to provide the unedited photos after that period.

How can I get more edited or unedited photos than what’s included in my package?

Additional edited or unedited photos can be purchased beyond what’s included in your package. Pricing for these options is detailed in our package add-on section.

How will the photos be delivered to me?

All photos will be delivered digitally via an online gallery, allowing easy access and download. Your gallery will be available for 1 year, after which retrieval will no longer be possible. We recommend downloading and securely backing up your photos within this period.

Will there be any watermarks on the delivered photos?

Edited photos will include a small artist signature watermark, discreetly placed away from the main subject. Unedited photos, provided in certain packages, will be delivered without any watermark.

How long will the backup of the delivered photos be kept?

Your online gallery will be available for 1 year after delivery. After this time, the photos will no longer be retrievable, so it is important to download and back them up within that period.

Can I remove the signature watermark from the final photos?

Yes, watermark-free edited photos are available 12 weeks after the initial delivery, at no additional cost. This allows you to enjoy fully edited images without the artist signature if desired. You will have to send a specific email for this after the 12 weeks of the delivery of your photos.

Editing Style

BASIC EDITING IS INCLUDED IN ALL THE PACKAGES.

Colour Correction, Hair Flyaways, Skin Smoothing, Basic background clean-up, and light body shaping are included.

Our editing does not include changing the colours of clothes or nails, head swaps, swapping backgrounds, removing tattoos, more precise skin work, working chipped nails, fill-in hair and lashes, composites or major body reshaping.

What is your approach to editing maternity photos?

When it comes to editing maternity photos, our approach is to enhance their overall quality while preserving their natural beauty. We utilise a delicate touch during the editing process, focusing on essential elements such as colour correction, basic background clean-up, and straightening. Our aim is to maintain the authenticity of your appearance.

During the editing process, we take care to include managing hair flyaways, smoothing skin, and applying light body shaping techniques to ensure that everyone looks their best.

Please note that our editing scope does not cover extensive alterations such as changing clothing or nail colours, head swaps, background swaps, tattoo removal, intricate skin work, fixing chipped nails, hair and lash fill-ins, composites, or major body reshaping. Our goal is to create a beautiful representation of you while preserving your natural features.

Can I request changes or revisions to the edited photos?

We strive to ensure that the edited photos meet your expectations and our high standards of quality. However, once the final images are delivered to you, we do not offer revisions or changes as part of our service.

Can I provide specific editing instructions or preferences for my photos?

We appreciate your interest in customising the editing of your photos. However, at this time, we do not offer the option for customers to provide specific editing instructions or preferences. We follow a consistent editing process to maintain the quality and style of our work. Rest assured that we put great care into ensuring that your photos are beautifully edited to showcase their natural beauty.

Can I request specific filters or styles for the edited photos?

We don’t use any predefined filters and all the photos are hand edited in advanced softwares. Our edits are done to produce a consistent output and we follow a process that needs human and artistic skills to finish your photos.

How long does the editing process typically take?

Once you have selected the photos for editing, our typical turnaround time is approximately 4 weeks to deliver the edited version of the photos. Can you create black and white versions of the photos?

Absolutely! As part of our standard procedure, we provide you with black and white versions of your edited maternity photos. We understand the timeless and artistic appeal of black and white photography, and we’re delighted to offer this option to our valued clients.

When delivering your edited photos, you can expect to receive both the coloured and black and white versions, allowing you to choose the style that resonates with you and best captures the essence of your precious moments.

Photo Copyrights and Sharing

We try our very best to produce the most beautiful photos for you that will last you a lifetime, Hence sharing these photos with the world helps us get motivated to keep going and produce an even more beautiful body of work.

If you do not want your images to be shared, you can opt for the privacy add-on for your shoot for Rs. 19,995 + GST. Please note you have to take prior approval at the time of booking for the privacy add-on. We are unable to offer privacy add-ons for any new wardrobe or any new type of shoot.

Will you use the photos from our session as part of their portfolio?

Yes, we typically showcase photos from sessions in our portfolio because it’s an essential way for us to highlight our work and the memorable moments we capture. This practice helps potential clients get a sense of our style and the caliber of our photography. However, we deeply respect your privacy and preferences.

If you’d prefer your photos not be included, we offer a privacy add-on service, allowing you the option to keep your images private.

May I ask for a delay in sharing my photos until after the birth of my baby?

Absolutely, we can accommodate your request to postpone sharing your photos until you’ve welcomed your new arrival. Your comfort and preferences are our top priority, and we’re more than willing to adjust our timeline to suit your needs.

Can I opt for a privacy add-on to ensure the photos from my session remain private and are not shared publicly?

Indeed, we offer a privacy add-on for an additional fee of Rs. 19,995 per shoot, which allows you to keep your photos private and not shared publicly. Please bear in mind, this add-on requires prior approval from us, as we typically do not offer private shoots for brand-new setups or completely new styles.

This policy ensures we can meet your privacy needs while maintaining the integrity of our photography services.

Is it possible to request that specific photos not be published or included in the photographer’s portfolio?

Yes, if you prefer that certain photos from your session are not shared in our portfolio, we highly recommend selecting our privacy add-on. This ensures those particular photos remain private and are not featured in our portfolio. We value your privacy and are dedicated to accommodating your preferences.

How can I ensure that my personal information or identity is protected in the photos you take?

Absolutely, we take your privacy concerns very seriously and are fully prepared to accommodate your needs in this regard. If you express the desire for anonymity within your photographs, we will ensure that no identifying details are disclosed. This means we will not tag you or mention your name in any of our shared or public photos.

We’re committed to respecting your privacy preferences and will take all necessary steps to ensure your comfort and trust in how your images are handled and presented.

May I use the photographs taken by you for commercial purposes, or share them with wardrobe makers, designers, or makeup artists for their portfolios?

Our photography is primarily designed for personal use, and we maintain a policy that restricts the use of these images for commercial purposes. This includes advertising on billboards, business communications, exhibitions, and similar commercial displays. However, we understand the importance of collaboration and recognition in creative industries.

If you wish for your makeup artist, wardrobe maker, or designer to feature these photos on their social media, they may do so under specific conditions: they must tag our photography service and provide explicit, proper photo credit linked to our profile. Permission from us is required before they proceed with sharing the images.

Additionally, when these photos are posted, credit to the photographer should be prominently displayed at the beginning of any accompanying text, ensuring it stands out more than credits for other contributions. This approach allows for a respectful sharing of work while acknowledging the creative contributions of all parties involved.

Who holds the copyright to the baby and maternity photographs? Is it possible for me to acquire full copyright ownership of these photos?

Under Indian copyright law, specifically the Copyright Act of 1957 (as amended), the creator of a photograph, in this case, the photographer, is generally the copyright holder, not the individual who commissioned the photos. Consequently, we retain copyright ownership of the images we capture. We grant our clients the right to use these images for personal, non-commercial purposes.

While we typically do not offer the sale of copyrights for maternity or baby photo shoots, we understand that there may be unique circumstances where full copyright acquisition is desired. If you find yourself in such a situation, we encourage you to reach out to us directly to discuss the possibilities.

Sanitation and Hygiene Policies

Cleanliness Standards

The studio maintains high cleanliness standards, regularly disinfecting surfaces, props, and equipment with safe and suitable products. Harsh chemicals and strong odours are avoided to ensure a comfortable environment for pregnant women & newborns.

Hand Hygiene

Staff and clients are encouraged to sanitise their hands upon entering the studio. Hand sanitising stations are readily available throughout the premises.

Personal Hygiene

Staff and photographers adhere to strict personal hygiene practices, including regular hand washing and clean attire. Those with contagious illnesses or symptoms are required to stay home.

Props and Equipment

Props and equipment used in newborn sessions are regularly cleaned and sanitised. Fabrics, blankets, and clothing are washed with hypoallergenic detergents before and after each use.

Waste Management

Proper waste management procedures are in place for safe disposal of diapers and other waste. Garbage bins are provided and regularly emptied.

Ventilation and Air Quality

The studio maintains proper ventilation for fresh air and comfort. Regular checks and maintenance of ventilation systems are conducted. We also make sure that we use air purifiers to maintain a healthy AQI.
