Pink and lilac maternity gowns
Blush, rose, hot pink, lilac and lavender: soft tulle, jersey mermaid gowns, satin drapes, and the flower floors we shoot from above. The newest first.
Some of the outfits in these photographs belong to our clients and may not be available to hire. We cannot tell at a glance which ones, so if you see something you love, send us a screenshot on WhatsApp and we will tell you whether it is in the studio wardrobe.
About pink and lilac
A wide range. Pink here is not one colour. Blush and dusty rose are quiet and look almost neutral on a white backdrop. Coral and hot pink are loud, in tiered tulle or a fitted mermaid with a long sheer train. Lilac and lavender sit in between, in pleated off-shoulder gowns and floor-length trains.
Where they live. Many were made against white or the sheer curtains, which keep pink light and clean. Some were made on flower floors, with you lying on a fur rug among petals and hydrangeas, shot from above. A smaller group use pampas grass and mirrored balls.
Tulle, satin, jersey. Tiered tulle gives volume. Satin drapes fall and flow. Jersey mermaid gowns hold the shape. Choose by mood: tulle for occasion, satin for movement, jersey for the line of the bump.
Pampas and mirrored balls. In a handful of frames a pink gown stands among tall pampas grass and silver mirror balls, from a hot-pink mermaid on a cream wall to a blush gown with a long sheer train on a white floor. It is a playful set, and the pinks look warm against it.
Is pink too sweet for a maternity photograph?
A dusty rose or a blush is not sweet at all. We try a few shades on you and let the photograph decide.
Can I bring a flower crown?
Yes. Props and accessories are welcome, and we will use them if they suit the setup. ---
