Yellow and floral maternity gowns
Mustard, bright yellow, and dresses printed with flowers. These are the rarest colours in the gallery.
Some of the outfits in these photographs belong to our clients and may not be available to hire. We cannot tell at a glance which ones, so if you see something you love, send us a screenshot on WhatsApp and we will tell you whether it is in the studio wardrobe.
About yellow and floral
Yellow. A mustard fitted gown with a train against a dark vignette, a bright pleated yellow with a flower crown against warm cream, and a mustard gown lying among orange hydrangeas and yellow roses. They are the warmest frames on the site.
Florals. Dark floral tulle trains against grey, blue-green floral chiffon in the air, a bright watercolour chiffon, a floral satin mini with a cape, and a pink tulle gown embroidered with pansies, worn with a daughter and a small dog.
A note on prints. Solid colours photograph better than prints, and we usually advise a solid. Prints are the exception, and the frames here are the ones that worked.
How to wear yellow. Bright yellow is strongest against a warm cream wall or a dark vignette, where nothing else competes with it. Mustard is quieter and more flattering, and sits well beside dried or orange flowers.
Can I wear a print?
Yes, if you love it. A large, soft print on a flowing fabric works best, and we decide at the consultation.
Are these gowns still in the studio?
The wardrobe holds yellow gowns, but some of the outfits in these photographs belong to clients and may not be available to hire. We cannot tell at a glance which, so send us a screenshot of the one you love and we will tell you. You can also bring your own. ---
