Gold and champagne maternity gowns
Gold satin, champagne silk, bronze and copper sequin, pleated metallic gold, and our champagne sarees. The newest first.
Some of the outfits in these photographs belong to our clients and may not be available to hire. We cannot tell at a glance which ones, so if you see something you love, send us a screenshot on WhatsApp and we will tell you whether it is in the studio wardrobe.
About gold and champagne
Gold on slate. Slate blue-grey is the most common backdrop here. The cool blue makes gold look warmer, and champagne look nearly white. Dark grey and an olive canvas are the other usual pairings.
Silk or metal. Champagne silk is matte, soft and wraps like a shawl. Metallic gold is liquid and bright. Pleated gold falls in vertical lines and is the most formal of the three. Choose by the mood you want rather than the colour.
In the air. About a third of these frames have fabric in motion: a gold or champagne drape lifted and let go, with you at the centre.
The saree. Four of the frames are our champagne sarees, in net with crystal embroidery, against white.
Formal and not. A gold gown with a tiara beside a husband in a black velvet tuxedo is the most formal frame here. At the other end, a champagne drape beside a husband in a black tee and red sneakers, both smiling. Gold works at either end of the range.
Does gold suit every skin tone?
Champagne is the most forgiving. We try gowns on you at the consultation and choose by how they look on you.
Gold or bronze?
Bronze and copper sequin are deeper, and suit a dark backdrop. Gold is lighter, and suits slate and olive. ---
